Explore the world’s single-cell data in seconds.

Malva ingests your datasets to find targets, validate biomarkers, and explore biology at a sequence-level resolution standard tools miss.

Secure, private deployment

Problem

The data is there. The answers aren’t.

Labs sequence millions of single cells every year, but each dataset lives in isolation. Comparing across studies means weeks of preprocessing with no guarantee the result is meaningful. Most of that data never gets used.

Solution

A search platform for your sequencing data.

Malva builds an index directly from raw data, making it instantly searchable. Type a gene, a mutation, or a plain question. Malva finds matching cells, integrates rich and standardised metadata, and ranks results by relevance. In seconds, not hours.

The Malva advantage

From weeks to seconds

Malva is the fastest in class: it returns results instantaneously across millions of cells. Tasks that required alignment, harmonization, and curation are now a single query.

How it works

Index, query, and explore.

Three steps, one single platform. Index your datasets, query with your research question, and explore the cells and samples that matter, ranked by relevance.

1. Index

Index once. Query forever.

Malva processes raw sequencing data into a single, compact index. The index is a fraction of the original data size, builds incrementally as new datasets arrive, and never requires re-computation. Add new studies on top and search improves over time.

2. Query

An AI-ready search platform

Start to search interactively, via a Python API, or give your AI agents via MCP. Malva supports three modes of search:

  • Sequence - Paste any DNA or RNA sequence. Find every cell that contains it.

  • Gene - Enter a gene symbol (CD28, FOXP3, etc.) and see where it appears across the entire index.

  • AI-powered - Describe what you’re looking for (‘T cells in lung cancer’). Malva finds it for you.

3. Explore

Results you (and your AI) can actually work with.

Search results land in the Malva Explorer: an environment built on all your data. Explore your data in an interactive, no-code environment, connect to your favourite bioinformatics tools via API, or connect to your AI tools via MCP. You are in control.

WHY MALVA

Built for the way single-cell teams actually work.

Sequence resolution

Other tools aggregate rich sequencing data into gene-level summaries. Useful, but lossy. Malva works at the sequence level, surfacing isoforms, mutations, or pathogens. Malva sees things that gene matrices miss entirely.

Your data is yours

Malva lives where your data lives: on-premise, private or public cloud. Queries run locally and privately. You have full ownership of your data, nothing leaves your environment.

Ultrafast

Queries that take days or weeks with existing approaches return results in seconds with Malva. This isn’t an optimisation. It changes what questions you can afford to ask.

Use Cases

Built for industry. Useful across the lab.

  • Biomarker validation across cohorts

  • Therapeutic target discovery

  • Easy data access and reanalysis across sites
